These are some works in progress. This is the base layer for the paintings, which will evolve with more layers of painting, wax, pastel, collage and more. The focus with this current mixed media work is color and movement. I strive to combine and juxtapose color and shapes and create a composition that intrigues, excites and stimulates. There is depth in the layers of my work; layers and movement. The eye will move across the surface of the painting and find images, spaces and details that take time and patience to see.
